Dr. John “Jack” C. Wilson, age 91 of Cincinnati, Ohio died peacefully Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at the Ohio Veterans Home in Georgetown, Ohio. He graduated first in his class from Madison High School in Madison, Indiana.  Jack continued his education at Hanover College in Hanover, Indiana, following his service in World War II in the Marine Corp.  John completed his PhD in Psychology at the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, Ohio where he held professorship positions.  He became the Director of the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Goodwill Industries organization where he was dedicated to the occupational rehabilitation of handicapped persons and resided in Cincinnati, Ohio.  In addition to his many accomplishments, Jack placed tremendous attention to family and friends and will be sadly missed. He was born December 18, 1923 in Madison, Indiana the son of the late Oscar C. Wilson and Marguerite (Bentz) Wilson, who died of tuberculosis when Jack was 5 years old. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife – Sarah “Sally” (Rowland) Wilson; two brothers – Robert and James Wilson and his father, Oscar’s second wife – Helen (Smith) Wilson.

Dr. Wilson is survived by one sister - Linda Ayers of Bradenton, Florida; one sister-in-law - Janis Wilson of Charlotte, North Carolina; four nieces - Margery Smith of Hanover, Indiana, Susan Zelaya of Jenner, California and Heather Landon and Holly Martin both of Charlotte, North Carolina; three nephews - Bernard Wilson and David Wilson, both of Madison, Indiana and Robert Wilson of Lexington, Kentucky and many great-nieces and nephews.

Following cremation, Memorial  and Celebration of Life Services will be held by family and friends at 11:00 A.M. Monday, September 28, 2015 at the Indiana Veterans Cemetery, 1415 MSH North Lane, Madison, Indiana  47250.  For additional information about the services please email: murraytodd@aol.com.
