Georgene Wanda Day

Georgene W. Day, age 89 of Hamersville, Ohio died Friday, April 8, 2016 at Anderson Mercy Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Day was born November 29, 1926 in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky the daughter of the late Claude and Bertha (Franklin) Griffin. She was also preceded in death by her husband – W. Richard Day in 1986, one daughter – Andrea Adamson in 2009, five brothers – Simon, J.C., Monroe, George and Arthur Griffin and six sisters – Anna Stevenson, Edna Maue, Julia Marker, Nan Shivley, Martha Knight and Dot Tackett.

Mrs. Day is survived by one daughter – Annetta Day of Hamersville, Ohio; one son - Walter Day of Grove City, Ohio; two grandchildren – Craig Adamson and wife Amy of Georgetown, Ohio and Emily Myers and husband Josh of Mt. Orab, Ohio; four great grandchildren – Paige, Aubrey, Ali and Kelsey; two sisters – Ruth Miller of Mt. Orab, Ohio and Linda Kissinger of Lancefield, Kentucky and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Friday, April 15, 2016 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. Friday. Interment will be in the Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio.
