Jimmy Ernest Gast

Jimmy Ernest Gast, age 76 of Williamsburg, Ohio, died Friday, November 27, 2015 at his residence.  He was a retired Special Projects Engineer from DP&L, a veteran of the United States Army, a member of the Shriners, a member of the Masons and a member of the Lions Club.  Mr. Gast was born December 4, 1938 in Brown County, Ohio the son of the late Ernest “Casey” and Clara (Burt) Gast.  He was also preceded in death by one sister – Erma Lee Young; one brother – Larry Gast and one son-in-law – James Thompson.

Mr. Gast is survived by his loving wife of over fifty years – Nancy Carol (Parker) Gast; one daughter – Rachelle Thompson of Portsmouth, Ohio; one son – Kevin Gast and wife Joan of Fayetteville, Ohio; four grandchildren – Joshua Gast, Jordan Gast, Hallee Thompson and Alex Thompson; three great grandchildren – Clay, Gus and Hazel.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio.  Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, at the funeral home.  Interment will follow the funeral service in Maplewood Cemetery in Ripley.
