Joan Allen

Joan Allen, age 83 of Bethel, Ohio died Monday, April 4, 2016 at her residence. She was a cook. Joan was born September 7, 1932 in Georgetown, Ohio the daughter of the late James V. and Edna I. (Wells) Richey.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband – David Allen in 2006 and one granddaughter – Emily Raypole.

Mrs. Allen is survived by three sons – Terry Allen and wife Bonnie of Georgetown, Ohio, Jeff Allen of Williamsburg, Ohio and Eric Allen and wife Sherry of Sardinia, Ohio; five grandchildren – Jami McFarland and husband Brian of New Richmond, Ohio, Amanda Hauke and husband Chad of Mowrystown, Ohio, Jason Allen and wife Melissa of Sardinia, Ohio, Jenny Thorton and husband James of Sardinia, Ohio and James Schalder of Nashville, Tennessee; eight great grandchildren; one brother – Carl Richey of Mt. Orab, Ohio and one sister – Ellen Parks of Jacksonville, Florida.

Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family on Friday, April 8, 2016 at the Mt. Orab Cemetery. The Cahall Funeral Home in Mt. Orab, Ohio is serving the family.
