Larry Wayne Reid

Larry Wayne Reid, age 69 of Hamersville, Ohio died Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at his residence. He was a retired electrician with Local 212 IBEW, a United States Vietnam War Army veteran, a member of the Felicity VFW and the Archie Lee Boyce American Legion Post #406 in Bethel, Ohio. Larry was born January 5, 1948 in Georgetown, Ohio the son of the late Ernest W. Reid and Lorena (Shaw) Prickett. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister – Judith Kirkpatrick.

Mr. Reid is survived by his wife of 44 years, Sherry (Patten) Reid, whom he married May 26, 1973; three daughters – Natalie Reid, Tiffany Sherman and husband Billy and Lyndsay Roush and husband Ryan all of Hamersville, Ohio; eight grandchildren – Ethan Mitchell and wife Sugaree, USAF, Wright Patterson, Ohio, Jadyn and Lilah Flores, Rilynn Roush, Baylee Becknell, Landry Roush, Bella Sherman and Elijah Roush all of Hamersville, Ohio ; three sisters – Delores Stuhlreyer and husband John of Georgetown, Ohio, Cathy Carter and husband Daryl and Barb Connor and husband Ron all of Feesburg, Ohio and many nieces and nephews.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at the Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church, 11693 State Route 774, Bethel, Ohio 45106 with military services to follow. Mike Starkey will officiate. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. – 3:00 P.M. Tuesday at the church. The Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio is serving the family.
