Robert Ray Berry

Robert Ray Berry, age 84 of Georgetown, Ohio died Thursday, February 2, 2017 at the Mt.Orab Medical Center in Mt.Orab, Ohio. He established the Sardinia Building Supply Company, was a retired custom home builder for Anderson, Poole and Berry and later Berry and Sons, he served over 30 years on the Eastern Brown Local School Board, the Southern Hills Vocational School Board and the Brown County Board of Education, an United States Korean War Army veteran, a faithful member of the Bible Baptist Church in Mt.Orab, Ohio and received Jesus Christ as his Savior in 1956. Robert was born May 23, 1932 in Georgetown, Ohio the son of the late William F. and Bernice (Barngrover) Berry. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother – Gerald Berry.

Mr. Berry is survived by his wife of 60 years – Ramona (Holbrook) Berry whom he married July 21, 1956; three children – Douglas Berry and wife Tracy of Sardinia, Ohio, Jill Wilcher and husband Jerry of Mt.Orab, Ohio and James Berry and wife Lisa of Sardinia, Ohio; seven grandchildren – Tasha (Berry) Bailey and husband Kenton, Clinton Berry and wife Lindsey, Chelsea (Berry) Applegate and husband Bryant, Casey and Corey Wilcher and Elizabeth and Andrew Berry and five great grandchildren – Kai and Ezra Bailey, Camilla and Robert Tyde Berry and Nolan Applegate.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at the Bible Baptist Church, 990 West Main Street, Mt.Orab, Ohio 45154. Pastor Ted House and Pastor Daniel Lamb will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. Monday, February 6, 2017 at the church. Interment will be in the Sardinia Cemetery in Sardinia, Ohio. The Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio is serving the family.
