Sue (Andrews) Gast

Sue Gast, age 76 of Fizzleville, Ohio, died Monday, April 13, 2015 at Meadowview Regional Medical Center in Maysville, Kentucky.  She worked at the former U.S. Shoe Factory in Ripley for thirty years and later at the Howard Eye Center in Georgetown, Ohio.  Mrs. Gast was born March 4, 1939 in Maysville, Kentucky the daughter of the late Joseph and Edith (Woods) Andrews.  She was also preceded in death by her husband of fifty six years – Dennis Ray Gast; one daughter – Connie Thornburg and one sister – Alice Gilkerson.

Mrs. Gast is survived by one daughter – Karen Schiltz and husband Noah of Bentonville, Ohio; two sons – Andy Gast and wife Susie of Fizzleville, Ohio and Joe Gast and wife Kim of Fizzleville, Ohio; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; two cousins – Sonnie Stroud of Columbus, Georgia and Louise Hampton of Maysville, Kentucky; best friends – Margie and Bob McRoberts and Bill and Georgjean Shelton.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday April 17, 2015 at Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio.  Rev. John Conley will officiate.  Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Friday at the funeral home.  Interment will follow the funeral service in Hietts Chapel Cemetery near Ripley.
