William Ernst Knabb

William Ernst Knabb, age 72 of Sardinia, Ohio died Friday, April 8, 2016 at Clermont Mercy Hospital in Batavia, Ohio. Mr. Knabb was retired from the Steelcraft Corporation after thirty-six years and then was employed by the Eastern Brown School District. He was an Army Vietnam War veteran, a member of the George A. Lambert American Legion Post #755 in Sardinia, Ohio and was vice president of the Brown County Coon Hunters Association. Mr. Knabb was born June 19, 1943 in Cincinnati, Ohio the son of the late Everett and Janice (Simmons) Knabb. He was also preceded in death by one great grandson – Luke Michael Copas.

Mr. Knabb is survived by his wife – Nancy (Shumaker) Knabb whom he married June 11, 1966; one son – Michael Knabb and wife Bobbie of Sardinia, Ohio; one daughter – Krystle Vance and husband Chad of Sardinia, Ohio; four grandchildren – Ashley Copas, Tyler Knabb, Braxton Vance and Bexlee Vance; one great granddaughter – Emma Copas; two sisters – Linda Hanselman of Mt. Orab, Ohio and Nancy Hanselman and husband Carl of Goshen, Ohio; one brother – Ruether Knabb of Cincinnati, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at the Sardinia Church of Christ, 7130 Bachman Road, Sardinia, Ohio. Kevin Hamilton and Mark Cole will officiate.  Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M. Wednesday at the church.  Interment will be in the Sardinia Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Brown County Coon Hunters Association, in care of Ken Miller, 5877 Tri County Highway, Sardinia, Ohio 45171. The Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio is serving the family.
