William C Rice

William C. Rice, age 91 of Ripley, Ohio, died Saturday, May 27, 2017 at the Hospice Care Center at Kenton Pointe in Maysville, Kentucky.  He was retired from Cincinnati Milacron after thirty-five years of service, he was a United States Army WWII Era Veteran, a member of the Courts-Fussnecker American Legion Post 367 in Ripley, Ohio and a member of the Ripley Church of the Nazarene in Ripley, Ohio.  Mr. Rice was born June 5, 1925 in Knightstown, Indiana the son of the late Jess and Nancy (Coleman) Rice.  He was also preceded in death by one sister – Alline Hines; two brothers – Phillip Paul Rice and Charles D. Rice.

Mr. Rice is survived by his loving wife of nearly thirty-five years – Dona Lou Rice; two daughters – Donna Kay Boling (Ronnie) of Georgetown, Ohio and Kathy Jean Rice of Ripley, Ohio; one son – William Allen Rice (Susan) of Aberdeen, Ohio; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; six step great-grandchildren; two brothers – Leo Rice (Violet) of Higginsport, Ohio and Jessie Rice (Dixie) of Galena, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at the Ripley Church of the Nazarene in Ripley, Ohio.  Rev. Clark Castle will officiate.  Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday at the church.  Interment will follow the funeral service in Maplewood Cemetery in Ripley with Military Honors provided by the Courts-Fussnecker American Legion Post 360 of Ripley, Ohio.
