Carl “Buck” Wilkins Edmisten, Jr., age 69 of Georgetown, Ohio died Monday, December 3, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was a Technician for the Ford Motor Company for 32 years, a United States Marine Corp Vietnam War veteran, a member of the Georgetown Church of Christ, the Georgetown Masonic Lodge F&AM #72 and an avid woodworker. Buck was born November 9, 1949 in Sardinia, Ohio the son of the late Carl Wilkins and Edith Frances (Vaughn) Edmisten, Sr. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister – Carol Ann Edmisten.
Mr. Edmisten is survived by his wife of 48 years, Ruth (Frodge) Edmisten whom he married July 25, 1970; four children – Jeff Edmisten and wife Carla of Ruther Glen, Virginia, Mike Edmisten and wife Nicki of Amelia, Ohio, Lori Case and husband Jason of Amelia, Ohio and Curt Edmisten and wife Chrissy of Bethel, Ohio; eight grandchildren – Shelby, Logan, Ryan and Brock Edmisten, Mara and Levi Case and Mackenzie and Andrew Edmisten; one brother – Richard A. Edmisten and wife Glenda of Melbourne, Florida and one brother-in-law – Jerry Frodge and wife Carole of Fairfield, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held at 5:00 P.M. Sunday, December 9, 2018 at the Georgetown Church of Christ, 149 Hamer Road, Georgetown, Ohio 45121. Mike Edmisten and Jason Case will officiate. Visitation will be from 3:00 P.M. – 5:00 P.M. Sunday at the church with Masonic services at 2:30 P.M. Interment will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, December 10, 2018 at the Pisgah Ridge Cemetery near Georgetown, Ohio with military services by the Unites States Marine Corp. The Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio is serving the family.
