Ethel Marie (Vaughn) Goecke

Ethel Marie Goecke, age 93 of Ripley, Ohio died Friday, November 30, 2018 at the Clermont Mercy Hospital in Batavia, Ohio. She was a homemaker and a member of the Georgetown Church of Christ in Georgetown, Ohio where she was the Sunday School Secretary for over 50 years. Ethel was born June 13, 1925 in Springdale, Kentucky the daughter of the late Charles William and Lillie (Cobb) Vaughn. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Thurman Goecke in 2003 and five brothers – Clifford, Charles “Speed”, John, Jim and Ray Vaughn and five sisters – Mary Catherine, Fannie Belle Littleton, Alberta Scott, Nettie Quinlan and Wanda Jean Blevins.

Mrs. Goecke is survived by her daughter – Judy Walker and husband Larry of Georgetown, Ohio; three grandchildren – Kim Lucas and husband Chris of Hamersville, Ohio, Kristi Miller and husband Chris of New Richmond, Ohio and Joe Walker of Ripley, Ohio; five great grandchildren – Kolen Lucas and wife Samantha and Kaden Lucas all of Hamersville, Ohio and Austin, Katrina and Olivia Miller all of New Richmond, Ohio; two great-great granddaughters – Addalynn and Emmaline Lucas and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at the Georgetown Church of Christ, 149 Hamer Road, Georgetown, Ohio 45121. Scott Hennig will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. Monday, December 3, 2018 at the church. Interment will be in the Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio. The Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio is serving the family.
