Joe R. Quinlan

Joe R. Quinlan, age 69 of Grand Blanc, Michigan and formerly of Georgetown, Ohio died Thursday, February 15, 2018 at the Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc, Michigan. Joe was born July 13, 1948 in Georgetown, Ohio the son of the late Joe and Nettie (Vaughn) Quinlan. Joe had van assortment of wonderful jobs he enjoyed from working in the Army as an operating medical technician to working with horses, becoming educated through sales and transporting many loads of goods to people for over twenty-five years. He was an avid NASCAR fan and was known to tell a joke or two… he was a communicator with everyone no matter if you were a friend or foe, Joe never met a stranger. Joe met Barb (Smith) Quinlan at his sister’s baby shower and took her for a ride in his GTO with his other sister Peggy. The next day Joe asked Barb for another date. Barb originally declined but after Joe’s stellar communication, Barb agreed and they have been married since April 4, 1969. Joe is a family man, he was very protective of his younger sister Vicky and took many lessons from his brother Ron who cared for him very much. Joe also welcomed Josh Quinlan into his home which brought such happiness into many people in Joe’s life. Josh is a great man and is an example of Barb and Joe’s upbringing.Survivors: sisters – Peggy Bohl and Joan Boling (Donald); brothers – Ron Vaughn (Sharon), Kenny Quinlan and nieces and nephews.

Special family: Corrie Thome, Vivien Burch and Megan Wadowski (Michael).

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Friday, February 23, 2018 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. Friday. Interment will be in the Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio.
