Lillian Frances (Combs) Shaw

Lillian Frances Shaw, age 88 of Georgetown, Ohio went home to be with her Savior on Friday, February 22, 2019 at the Villa Georgetown Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Georgetown, Ohio. Mrs. Shaw was retired from the Georgetown Exempted Village School as the head of Dietary Department after twenty-two years of service. She was a quiet and gentle person, a faithful follower of Jesus Christ, loved by those who knew her. Lillian was member of the Apple Street Christian Church in Georgetown, Ohio and was faithful to all services up until she was too sick to attend. She was born April 19, 1930 in Mason County, Kentucky the daughter of the late Earl and Jessie (Mineer) Combs. She was also preceded in death by her husband of sixty-six years – Russell Shaw in 2018 whom she married March 14, 1952; one sister – Edna Sparks; two brothers – Ralph and William Combs and one grandson – Jason Craig.

Mrs. Shaw is survived by three children - David Ray Shaw and wife Kimberly of Hermitage, Tennessee, Melody Lane Matthews and husband Terry of Jeffersonville, Ohio and Christine Craig of Georgetown, Ohio; fourteen grandchildren – James A. Bettle, Joseph M. Bettle, Nia Bettle, Heather Matthews, Poe Matthews, Heather Shaw, Melissa Schepman, Joshua Shaw, Lauren Shaw, Brittany Swarmer, Aaron Craig, Eric Craig, Austin Horrell and Karen Scaggs; many great grandchildren; three sisters - Mary Dickins and Phyllis Turner both of Georgetown, Ohio and Kathleen Teeters of Florida.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at the Georgetown Church of the Nazarene, 4884 SR 125, Georgetown, Ohio. Rev. Jack Hinton will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at the church. Interment will be in the Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio. The Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio is serving the family.
