I am so very sorry for your loss. Please find comfort in God's sure promise of a resurrection as set forth in the Bible. (Acts 24:15; John 5:28,29) Those who are raised to life will have the prospect of never again being subject to misery, sickness, or death. (Revelation 21:4) I hope that reflecting on these thoughts will give you some relief during this difficult time.

My prayers are with all of you. I am sure that you know that I have great memories of him.
I was a young teacher with a lot to learn, and those early classes helped me edge into teaching. I know you have heard the story, but I often tell my family and friends about that memorable Christmas program. Mike was to be Santa and he and some cohorts decided that Santa should enter the gym in a VW. How they talked Mr. Neu into that I don't know! They took out dividers between the two school entry doors. They blocked that tunnel with some kind of cloth to hide the car.
I am sure the audience jumped when Mike started the car. Into the gym he drove, jumped out of the car, ran up on the stage and came down the chimney (one of those vents on the side of the stage). There was a Christmas scene there, gifts were left, etc.
Back up the chimney - now that was not as easy as going down. Someone did some serious pulling. Back in the car, start it up - and almost backed into Mrs. Trimble.
What a program!
He was involved in so many school activities and then community activities as an adult. I know you were proud of him and his accomplishments.
