Theresa T. (Trapp) Stephen

Theresa T. Stephen, age 97 of Georgetown, Ohio died Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at the Villa Georgetown Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Georgetown, Ohio. Mrs. Stephen was a graduate of Ripley High School and the College of Mount St. Joseph. She taught the 4^th grade at the Alverda Reed Elementary School in Georgetown, Ohio for twenty- three years. She was a member of St. George Catholic Church and a former member of the Mary P. Shelton Library Board and the Georgetown Junior Women’s Club. Mrs. Stephen was born August 20, 1922 in Ripley, Ohio the daughter of the late Frank Frederick and Frances Margaret (Germann) Trapp. She was also preceded in death by her husband – Richard B. Stephen in 1987; one son – Robert J. Stephen; one granddaughter – Lacey Stephen; one brother- John Trapp; one sister – Rosemary Eveslage and one son-in-law – Dwight Ashcraft.

Mrs. Stephen is survived by four children – Mike Stephen and wife Jill of Naples, Florida, Kathy Ashcraft of El Cajon, California, Mark Stephen and wife Kristin of Eugene, Oregon and Mary Gaskin and husband Larry of Hamersville, Ohio; one daughter-in-law – Susan Stephen of Avon Lake, Ohio; eleven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and several devoted nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 A.M. Saturday, August 24, 2019 at the St. George Catholic Church in Georgetown, Ohio. Rev. Dohrman Byers will be the Celebrant. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Interment will be in the Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio.
