Eva Evelyn Elschlager, age 86 of Georgetown, Ohio, died Friday, August 2, 2019 at the Hospice of Hope Care Center at Kenton Pointe in Maysville, Kentucky. Over the years, she worked as a clerk at Steele’s Pharmacy, Donohoo’s Pharmacy and was a teller at Peoples National Bank. She was also a member of the Georgetown Church of Christ. Evelyn loved flower gardening and took great joy in picking her flowers and making beautiful arrangements for her home. She was always thinking of others and remembering birthdays, births and special days of friends and family by sending cards. Evelyn was born October 17, 1932 in Ripley, Ohio the daughter of the late Chauncey Thomas and Edna Mae (Scott) Snyder. Following the death of her mother, she was raised by her aunt and uncle – Eva and Vern Shepherd who also preceded her in death. In addition, she was preceded in death by a brother – Tommy Willard Snyder and a cousin – Paul Shepherd.
Evelyn is survived by her loving husband of sixty-four years – George Elschlager; one daughter – Angela Elschlager-Hughes and husband Glenn of San Jose, California.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio.
