Albert Louis Haitz

Mr. Albert Louis Haitz, age 88 of Ripley, Ohio, died Thursday, December 7, 2006 at The Villa Georgetown Nursing Home in Georgetown, Ohio. He was a retired meat cutter for Krogers, where he worked for 28 years, and also loved farming. Mr. Haitz was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Ripley, Ohio, he was a seventy year member and fourth degree Knight of the Ripley Council #2374 of The Knight's of Columbus and he was in charge of the Knight's of Columbus "Measure Up" campaign for many years. He was born on October 6, 1918 in Ripley, Ohio the son of the late Joseph and Henrietta (Koewler) Haitz. He was also preceded in death by six brothers and eight sisters.

Mr. Haitz is survived by his wife of sixty six years, Mary Louise (White) Haitz; four sons - A. Gary Haitz and wife Shirley of Dayton, Ohio, Rodney A. Haitz and wife Sandy of Cherry Grove, Ohio, Randy Haitz of Dayton, Ohio and Greg Haitz and wife Lisa of Georgetown, Ohio; four grandchildren - Todd Haitz of Chicago, Illinois, Chad Haitz of Dillon, Colorado, Lisa Jenkins of New Richmond, Ohio and Shawn Haitz of Amelia, Ohio; five great grandchildren; one sister, Ruth Ward of Greenfield, Ohio.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00 A.M. Monday, December 11, 2006 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Ripley, Ohio. Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Ripley, Ohio. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. Sunday, December 10 at Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. There will be a Rosary Service at 8:30 P.M. on Sunday evening, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to: St. Michael Catholic Church or School -OR- to The Knight's of Columbus "Measure Up" campaign.
