Alvin W. Burr, age 87 of Ripley, Ohio and formerly of Washington Court House, Ohio, died Monday, January 19, 2015 at the Ohio Veterans Home in Georgetown, Ohio. He was a United States Navy WWII Veteran, a member of the Courts-Fussnecker American Legion Post #367 in Ripley and a member of the American Legion Post in Washington Court House. Mr. Burr was retired from the Pennington Bread Co. where he worked as a truck driver. He was born December 21, 1927 in Green Township, Ohio the son of the late Clifford and Flora (Shinna) Burr.
