Archie Lee Jones

Archie Lee Jones, age 70 of Aberdeen, Ohio, died Monday, February 11, 2008 at The V.A. Hospital in Lexington, KY.. He was a United States Army Veteran and was retired from the ASCS office in Georgetown, Ohio. He also enjoyed farming. Mr. Jones was born on March 8, 1937 in Plumber's Landing, KY. the son of the late Archie A. and Elsie (Lewis) Jones. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Lois Emmons and one brother, Theo Jones.

Mr. Jones is survived by his wife of thirty three years Juanita (Thompson) Jones; one stepdaughter, Alice Lightner of Aberdeen, Ohio; two step grandchildren, Shan and Renee Lightner; three sisters - Doris Brookbank of Higginsport, Ohio, Joyce Bradley of Englewood, Ohio and Jean Emmons of Centerville, Ohio; three brothers, Jerry Jones of Ripley, Ohio, Merle Jones of Aberdeen, Ohio and John L. Jones of Aberdeen, Ohio; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, February 15, 2008 at Cahall Funeral home in Ripley, Ohio. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 P.M. on Friday at the funeral home.
