Barbara Ann Wahl

Barbara Ann Wahl, age 79 of Georgetown, Ohio died Friday, June 15, 2007 at the Brown County General Hospital in Georgetown, Ohio. Mrs. Wahl was born on May 30, 1928 in Byrd Township in Brown County, Ohio the daughter of the late William Sherman and Lena May (Calvert) Brown. She was a graduate of Russellville High School class of 1946, became a civil service employee of the Bureau of Unemployment and attended Bliss College in Columbus, Ohio. Mrs. Wahl was a member of the Georgetown United Methodist Church and served the community in various organizations such as the Methodist Women, Jr. Women's Club, Brown County General Hospital Auxiliary, the Georgetown PTA and as a den mother in the cub scouts. She also worked forty-two years along side her husband, Dr. Donald W. Wahl as a registered licensed animal technician at the Georgetown Animal Hospital.

Mrs. Wahl is survived by her husband of fifty-nine years - Dr. Donald W. Wahl. She was the mother of seven children and was preceded in death by one son, William Wilford Wahl. She is survived by Martha Mason, Nancy Kattine and husband Brett all of Georgetown, Ohio, Sally Bishop and husband Dale and son George Wahl all of Batavia, Ohio, David Wahl and wife Barbara of League City, Texas and Warren Wahl and wife Nona of Hillsboro, Ohio; one daughter-in-law - Susan Beasley Wahl of Georgetown, Ohio; one brother - Charles Richard Brown and wife Carol of South Lebanon, Ohio, eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Saturday, June 23, 2007 at the Georgetown United Methodist Church, 217 S. Main Street, Georgetown, Ohio. Private graveside services will be held at Confidence Cemetery at the convenience of the family. If desired, memorials may be made to the Georgetown United Methodist Church, 217 S.
