Bernice May Mckinzie

Bernice May McKinzie, age 77 of Georgetown, Ohio died Monday, July 29, 2013 at the Locust Ridge Nursing Home near Bethel, Ohio. She was a retired laundry aide for the former Georgetown Nursing Home and the Villa Georgetown Nursing Home. She was born June 11, 1936 in Bantam, Ohio the daughter of the late Harold C. and Edith (Fancher) Nash. She was also preceded in death by her husband - Joseph McKinzie in 1988, one son - Terry McKinzie, two grandchildren - Dawn and Justin McKinzie and two brothers.
Mrs. McKinzie is survived by four sons - Robert McKinzie and wife Jane of Mt. Orab, Ohio, Michael McKinzie and wife Debra of Batavia, Ohio, Randy McKinzie and wife Becky of Georgetown, Ohio and Larry McKinzie and wife Angie of Newtonsville, Ohio, eight grandchildren - Robby McKinzie, Micki Smith, Lonny McKinzie, Kristi Thoroughman, Ryan McKinzie, Megan Brownfield, Matt Brownfield and Ian McKinzie, thirteen great grandchildren, one brother - Bob Nash of Georgetown, Ohio, one sister - Martha Drew of Hamersville, Ohio and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, August 1, 2013 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Pastor Jeffrey Smith will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Farmers Chapel Cemetery near Georgetown, Ohio. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Association.
