Betty Young Morrison Bennett, age 79 of Georgetown, Ohio formerly of Michigan went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at her residence. She was a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend and will be missed by all who knew her. Betty was born February 4, 1935 in Cunningham, Tennessee, close to Clarksville the daughter of the late Edward Young Morrison and Della (Swift) Morrison. She graduated high school and later met her husband William "Bill" Bennett while working at McClellan's Dime Store in Clarksville, Tennessee. Bill was stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky in the Army during their courtship. They married February 6, 1960 where they made their home and began their family in Livonia, Michigan. In 1970 they moved to Elk Rapids, Michigan where they completed their family. In 1974 they moved to Kalkaska, Michigan where they made a home until 2005 when moving to Georgetown, Ohio. Betty enjoyed doing crafts and working word search and jigsaw puzzles, researching and compiling genealogical information and at one time belonged to the Kalkaska Genealogical Society. The information she gathered is a treasured part of her family history. She loved to attended church and did so until she was no longer able. Most of all, Betty enjoyed making a home and loving her husband and family. She had a very warm personality and smile and will be missed and loved. In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by four sisters - Marie Fielder, Sadie Wall, Harriet Farrett and Angie Epps and one brother-in-law - Bob Kievit.
