Betty Lucille Hale, age 85 of Hamersville, Ohio passed away Monday, February 16, 2026 at her residence. She was born November 16, 1940 in Matewan, West Virginia the daughter of the late French and Margaret (Mounts) Beavers. Betty was a devoted homemaker who dedicated her life to raising her beloved family. She took great pride in her role, nurturing her loved ones with unwavering affection. An animal lover at heart, Betty also cherished the companionship of her pets. Her warmth and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years – William “Bill” Martin Hale in 2018; four brothers – Wade Beavers, Robert Beavers, John Beavers and French “Noony” Beavers, Jr. and three sisters – Linda Beavers, Mabel Merrit and Elsie Beavers.
Mrs. Hale is survived by three children – William M. Hale, Jr. and wife Mary and Melissa J. (Hale) Zahn and husband Randy both of Georgetown, Ohio and Amy R. (Hale) Daye and husband Charles Dittman of Hamersville, Ohio; seven grandchildren – Brittney Hale and William M. Hale, III both of Georgetown, Ohio, Ethan Hale and wife Brittani of Sardinia, Ohio, Allison (Zahn) Black and husband Dylan and Rebecca Zahn and fiancé Jansen McCord both of Georgetown, Ohio and Megan Daye and Dylan Daye both of Hamersville, Ohio; six great grandchildren – Kenneth and Jenna Hamm, Gregory and Karlee Fetters, Eden Grace Hale and Haley Rae Black; two sisters – Myrtle Sullivan and Emogene Charles both of Matewan, West Virginia and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Sunday, February 22, 2026 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Tom Claibourne will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. – 4:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home. Interment will be the Parman Cemetery in Keavy, Kentucky at 1:00 P.M Monday, February 23, 2026.
