Betty Jo Conrad, age 98 of Mt. Orab, Ohio passed away Sunday, September 6, 2026 at her residence. She was born June 29, 1928 in Cynthiana, Kentucky the daughter of the late William Henry and Lucille (Whitaker) Jones. Betty was a devoted homemaker who loved her family deeply and cared for them with all her heart. She was a faithful and dedicated member of the Mt. Orab Church of Christ for more than 60 years, where she was actively involved in women’s fellowship groups. Her faith, kindness and generous spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew her. Betty had a special gift for making people feel welcome and never met a stranger for long. She loved her family, friends and church with all her heart. Betty was a very giving person and took great pride in sharing her love through the art of crochet. Every grandchild, great-grandchild and great-great-grandchild received a beautiful crocheted baby blanket from her. When they graduated from high school, she would lovingly make them another blanket to commemorate the special occasion. Whenever a family member or friend was expecting a new baby, Betty proudly made a special blanket to welcome the newest addition to the family. Betty and her late husband shared a love of gardening and enjoyed growing and preserving their own fresh vegetables. Each year, Betty would can as many as 100 quarts of green beans, a testament to her hard work and dedication to providing for those she loved. Her crocheted blankets, canned vegetables and countless acts of kindness were just a few of the many ways Betty showed her love. Her generous heart, unwavering faith and devotion to her family will be lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Besides her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years – Orville F. Conrad in 2015, one daughter – Joyce Watson in 2001 and one son – Jim Conrad in 2017.

Mrs. Conrad is survived by two children – Judy Conrad (Dona Sarno) of Lebanon Ohio and Tom Conrad (Barb) of Mt.Orab, Ohio; seven grandchildren – Jenise Conrad, Jill Shaffer (Steve), Kimberly Scott (Brent), Matt Conrad (Amanda), Kristi Beard (Kenny), Joe Keller (Jenny) and Darren Keller (Britt); fourteen great grandchildren – Maya and Ian Shaffer, Anderson and Ainsley Scott, Matti, Aubri, Myles and Ayden Conrad, Kimber, Karter and Krosley Beard, Hannah McGill (Jacob), Liam Keller and Paige Chaney (Josh) and six great-great grandchildren – Matilda, Callen and Augustus McGill and Ethan, Aubrey and Britten Chaney.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, September 19, 2026 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Mt.Orab, Ohio. Joe Strunk and Vernon Green will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Mt.Orab, Cemetery in Mt.Orab, Ohio.
