Joseph William (Bill) Fauth, Jr., age 64 of Ripley, Ohio, died Saturday, October 10, 2009 at University Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was a farmer, a former bus driver for Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington Schools, a U.S. Air Force Reserve Veteran, a former member and secretary of the Brown Co. Fair Board, a former member of the Byrd Township Fire Dept., a Brown Co. Farm Bureau board member, a current Ohio Tobacco Festival Trustee and a founding committee member, a former board member of the Ohio Festivals and Events Association and a trustee for the Brown Co. Cattleman's Association. He recently received the VIP Achievement Award from the Ohio Tobacco Festival and the Legion of Honors Award from the Ohio Festival and Events Association. Mr. Fauth was born October 4, 1945 in Maysville, Kentucky, the son of the late Joseph William and Mary Louise (Burns) Fauth, Sr.
Mr. Fauth is survived by his wife of 36 years - JoAnn (Holton) Fauth; one sister - Marilyn Parker and husband Terry of Decatur, Ohio; his mother-in-law - Elizabeth Holton of Decatur, Ohio; two sisters-in-law - Jean Bolender and husband Randie of Russellville, Ohio and Janice Gray and husband Larry of Cherry Fork, Ohio; three nieces; three nephews; one great-niece and one great-nephew.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday. October 15, 2009 at Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 9:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 14, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Red Oak Cemetery near Ripley.
