Bobbie Jean (Sprangler-Carter) Gilliam

Bobbie Jean Gilliam, age 82 of Batavia, Ohio formerly of Indian Hill died Sunday, February 4, 2018 at the Eastgate Care Springs Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Union Township, Ohio. She was a homemaker and a member of the Army FRG. Bobbie was born October 8, 1935 in Lee County, Virginia the daughter of the late Buford Kirk and Myrtle (Spangler) Brown. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband – Cecil D. Gilliam in 2007, one son Cecil D. Gilliam and two sisters.

Mrs. Gilliam is survived by two daughters – Doris Schwartz and husband Fred of Batavia, Ohio and Sherrie Lynn Gilliam of Cincinnati, Ohio; one son – Robert C. Gilliam and wife Karen of Kansas City, Kansas; five grandchildren – Bobbie Schwartz and fiancé Adam Cruse of Batavia, Ohio, Gerri Schwartz and fiancé Dalton Carson of Mt.Orab, Ohio, Cecilia McFarland and husband Clinton of Williamsburg, Ohio, Shawn Simes of Cincinnati, Ohio and Sarah Hillis of Kansas City, Kansas; one great granddaughter – Farrah Schwartz; one sister – Gerry Smith of Cincinnati, Ohio and two brothers – Bethel Carter of Cincinnati, Ohio and Garvey Brown of Batavia, Ohio.

Following cremation, memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 10, 2018 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Mt.Orab, Ohio. There will be no visitation. Inurnment will be in the Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio.
