Boyd Anne "Sweetie" Mcelroy

Boyd Anne “Sweetie” McElroy, age 91 of Georgetown, Ohio died Saturday, July 16, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her loved ones. Mrs. McElroy was born January 15, 1925 in Feesburg, Ohio the daughter of the late Boyd Edward and Irene Love (Jones) Liming. She was also preceded in death by her husband – Billy Wayne McElroy in 1996. She was a past Grand Martha and a fifty year member of the Order of the Eastern Star and an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Carey Bavis American Legion Post #180 auxiliary. Boyd Anne’s life revolved around music. She enjoyed playing the organ for her community and loved camping with her Lake Waynoka friends. She was a real estate agent for many years with George Hook Realty and Ring Real Estate.

She is survived by two children – Bonnie Streit and husband Allan of Georgetown, Ohio and Wayne McElroy of Georgetown, Ohio; four grandchildren – Carmen West (Michael West) of Cincinnati, Ohio, Casey Streit (Zachariah Farrell) of Cincinnati, Ohio, Alana Streit of Louisville, Kentucky and Garrett McElroy of Portland, Oregon and four great grandchildren – Zachary, Austin and Abigail West and Shiloh Farrell.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family, Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Interment will be in the Confidence Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
