Carl Joseph “CJ” Ward, age 32 of Milford, Ohio passed away Saturday, October 3, 2026 at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was born September 21, 1994 in Andeson Township, Ohio the son of Robert “Rob” Ward of Higginsport, Ohio and the late Alethea “Lea” (Grant) Amadou. CJ was a welder with Boilermakers Local #105, a hardworking man, loving husband and devoted father whose world revolved around his family. He was known for his distinct laugh, generous heart and willingness to do anything for anyone, never expecting anything in return. CJ accepted people for who they were and treated everyone with kindness and understanding. He enjoyed a variety of interests, including hunting, fishing and playing video games, but one of his greatest passions was fireworks. Each year, he eagerly anticipated purchasing fireworks, planning an unforgettable show and bringing joy and excitement to family and friends with a spectacular display. Creating those special memories with the people he loved brought him tremendous happiness. Above all, being a dad was CJ’s greatest joy and the title he carried with the most pride. He was a devoted provider, a loving partner and a husband who would do absolutely anything for his wife. The bond they shared was truly special, built on love and devotion that words could never fully express. CJ’s greatest legacy will always be the love he gave so freely, the memories he created and the lasting impact he made on the family who meant everything to him. Besides his mother, CJ was preceded in death by one daughter – Aliza Jean Ward, one brother – Mike Ward and paternal grandfather – Butch Ward.

Mr. Ward is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 10 years – Breanna (Dyer) Ward; two sons – Casper and Atticus Ward; father – Rob Ward and wife Tammy; eight brothers and sisters – Teddy Eubanks (Jessica), Joey Ward (Chelsea), Jamie Ward (Amanda), Shayla Grant, Ryan Malicoat (Casey), Daniel Colman, Meagan Long and Mira Amadou; maternal grandparents – Henry Grant and Janice Grant; paternal grandmother – Marty Eskew; mother-in-law – Louanna Revak; six brothers and sisters-in-law – Michael Babey (Leeanna Fischer), Nick Dyer (Gabby), Megan Dyer (Jake McMullen), Abigail Crank (Jantsen), Emily Tackett and Gavin Dyer, grandmother-in-law – Norma Day and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

CJ lived a life devoted to lifting others up and making a difference in the lives of those around him. Whether offering a listening ear, lending a helping hand or simply being there for family and friends, he showed that even the smallest acts of kindness and love can leave a lasting impact. True to the generous spirit that defined his life, CJ continued to give to others after his passing through the selfless gift of organ donation. Through this remarkable act of generosity, he gave others the opportunity to witness another sunrise, embrace the people they love and enjoy the precious gift of life. Though his presence will be deeply missed, CJ’s legacy of compassion and selflessness lives on through the lives he has touched. His family finds comfort in knowing that his final gift has brought hope to others, reflecting the same loving heart and giving spirit that made him so special.
