Charles D. Elliott, age 78 of Sardinia, Ohio passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at the Clermont Mercy Hospital in Batavia, Ohio. He was born April 21, 1947 in Pineville, Kentucky the son of the late Charles “Dewey” Elliott and Lucy (Messer) Elliott. Charles was a retired truck driver, proud United States Air Force veteran and a devoted member of the Church of God Prophecy in Hillsboro, Ohio. Throughout his life, Charles cherished his faith and prioritized his family above all else. He was known for his enjoyment of western shows, daily visits to McDonald's for coffee and his unwavering appreciation for good meals. Charles left behind a strong spiritual legacy, reflecting his deep faith and commitment to his beliefs. He will be remembered fondly by all who knew and loved him. Besides his parents, Charles was preceded in death by three sisters – Mildred Doulen, Bytha Smith and Brenda Lawson.

Mr. Elliott is survived by is loving life of nearly 60 years – Kay (Hubbard) Elliott whom he married August 25, 1966; two daughters – Carla Rhodes and husband Don of West Union, Ohio and Suzanne Madden of Mt.Orab, Ohio; five grandchildren – Emylynn Meltebrink of Cincinnati, Ohio, Jesse Rhodes and wife Brittany of Richmond, Kentucky, Kenzie “Milo” Hendrix of West Union, Ohio, Abbey Bickel and husband Zachary of Richmond, Kentucky and Jacob Madden of Mt.Orab, Ohio; seven great grandchildren – Leah, Roman, Eli, Ryan, Jayden, Corbin and Adeline; one brother – Larry Elliott of Cumberland Gap, Tennessee; one sister – Ilena Bicknell of Miamisburg, Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, March 9, 2026 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Mt.Orab, Ohio. Brother Edwin Wilson will officiate. Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M. – 1:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio with military services by the Carey Bavis American Legion Post #180 of Georgetown, Ohio.
