Charlene Back

Charlene Back, age 89 of Mt.Orab, Ohio passed away Saturday, May 2, 2026 at her residence. She was born August 24, 1939 in Buford, Ohio the daughter of the late Jesse and Ava (Bishop) Mount. Charlene was a devoted homemaker and a valued member of the Buford Church of Christ. She had a passion for reading and sewing, activities that brought her great joy throughout her life. Her dedication to her family and community will be warmly remembered. Besides her parents, Charlene was preceded in death by her husband – Daniel Back in 2014, one son – DJ Back, one son-in-law – Mark Ervin, two brothers – Bob Mount and Kenny Mount and one sister – Karen Mount.

Mrs. Back is survived by four children – Pat Back and wife Ginger of Lynchburg, Ohio, Danene Ervin of Mt.Orab, Ohio, Ben Back of Mt.Orab, Ohio and Andy Back and wife Tracy of Mt.Orab, Ohio; eight grandchildren – Dan Back, Heather Dean and husband Britt, Amanda Ervin and husband Ryan Helton, Joey Ervin, Dustin Back, Shelby Jackson and husband Tyler, JD Fritts and Liberty Fritts; eight great grandchildren – Weston and Wyatt Dean, Jaxson Helton, Tony Mullen, Airrean Helton, Lincoln Lyons and Hope and Tucker Jackson.

Graveside services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Friday, May 8, 2026 at the Buford Cemetery in Buford, Ohio. The Cahall Funeral Home in Mt.Orab, Ohio is serving the family.
