Charles F. Mcdaniel

Charles Fredrick McDaniel, age 74 of Georgetown, Ohio, died Sunday, March 16, 2008 at the Brown County General Hospital in Georgetown, Ohio under the wonderful care of Hospice of Hope. He was an engineer on a work boat for thirty-three years on the Mississippi River for the American Commercial Barge Line and an United States Navy Veteran. Charles was born on July 16, 1933 in Elizabeth, Pennsylvania the son of the late George Washington McDaniel and Dorothy R. (Perry) Pogue of Erie, Pennsylvania.

Besides his mother, Mr. McDaniel is survived by his wife of thirty year, Garnet E. (Riggs) McDaniel of Georgetown, Ohio; one sister- Dona Johnson of Sevierville, Tennessee; one brother- Daniel McDaniel of Anderson Township, Ohio and two nieces- Joy Hanselman and husband Mike of Georgetown, Ohio and Cindy Foster of Memphis, Texas.

Following cremation, a private memorial service will be held in Tennessee at the convenience of the family. Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio is serving the family. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Hope, 215 Hughes Blvd, Mt.Orab, Ohio 45154.
