Colvin "Landy" W. Lawrence

Colvin W. "Landy" Lawrence, age 78 of Bethel, Ohio died Saturday, May 7, 2011 at the Adams County Regional Medical Center in Seaman, Ohio. He was a machinist at the Ford Motor Company for 38 years, a United States Army Veteran, a Kentucky Colonel and a 32nd degree Mason. Colvin was born on March 28, 1933 in Mason County, Kentucky the son of the late Ocel and Ollie (Turner) Lawrence. He was also preceded in death by one granddaughter - Lynette Carter; four brothers - Gene, Roy, Bill, and Charles Lawrence and one sister - Ruth Cracraft.

Mr. Lawrence is survived by his beloved wife - Eleanor (McCleese) Lawrence; five children - Vicky Carter of Hamersville, Ohio, Valerie Bruce of Bethel, Ohio, Charles "Buddy" Lawrence of Bethel, Ohio, Andrea Sevier of Amelia, Ohio and Jay Lawrence and wife Shanon of Georgetown, Ohio; eleven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; two sisters -Carol Hamm and husband Don of Georgetown, Ohio and Dorothy Mason and husband Bernard of Kentucky; one brother - Robert "Bob" Lawrence and wife Diane of Hamersville, Ohio and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Rev. Brent Keeton will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M.- 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Mt. Orab Cemetery in Mt. Orab, Ohio with veteran services by the Carey Bavis American Legion Post #180.
