Daisy Mcguffey

Daisy McGuffey, age 88 of Georgetown, Ohio died Friday, January 29, 2016 at the Clermont Mercy Hospital in Batavia, Ohio. She retired from the former Brown County General Hospital dietary department. Mrs. McGuffey was born September 8, 1927 in Jensen, Kentucky the daughter of the late Gabe and Mary (Deaton) Farrell. She was also preceded in death by her husband – Joseph O. McGuffey in 1962, one son – William Joseph McGuffey, two brothers – Douglas and Sam Farrell and one sister – June Napier.

Mrs. McGuffey is survived by four children – Kathy Hanselman of Georgetown, Ohio, Candy Wilson of Russellville, Ohio, Jeff McGuffey and wife Tina of Georgetown, Ohio and Sam McGuffey and wife Toni of Papillion, Nebraska; eleven grandchildren; eight Great Grandchildren; one daughter-in-law – Janet McGuffey of North Bend, Ohio; three sisters – Janet Arnold of Kings Mill, Ohio, JoAnn Crew and husband John of Lebanon, Ohio and Linda Frazier of Feesburg, Ohio; three brothers – Stanley “Duke” Farrell of Georgetown, Ohio, Gabe Farrell and wife Connie of Hamersville, Ohio and John Farrell and wife Linda of Georgetown, Ohio and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, February 4, 2016 at the Georgetown Baptist Church, 794 S. Main Street, Georgetown, Ohio. Rev. Cliff Myers will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Interment will be in the Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice.
