Dale Eugene Bonar, Sr., age 84 of Georgetown, Ohio died Thursday, July 23, 2015 at a construction site in Mt. Orab, Ohio. He was the owner of Bonar Construction, a member and thirty-five year Elder of the Georgetown Church of Christ, a U.S. Navy Korean War veteran and a member of the Walnut Hills Masonic Lodge # 483. Mr. Bonar was born March 28, 1931 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana the son of the late George Calvert and Hazel Mae (Stokes) Bonar.
Mr. Bonar is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years – Rachel (Davis) Bonar, whom he married June 28, 1958; two daughters – Krystal Rae Bonar Wainscott and husband Doug of Georgetown, Ohio and Rebecca Ann Bonar of Keystone, Florida; one son – Dale Eugene Bonar, Jr. and wife Sandy of Georgetown, Ohio; seven grandchildren – Bradley Bonar, Travis Bonar and wife Ashley, Logan Bonar, Mariah Bonar, A.J. Haddix, Sean Haddix and Kelly Haddix; one great grandson – Cooper Lee Bonar; one brother – Ralph Calvert Bonar and wife Verda of Falmouth, Kentucky; three half brothers - Gary, Norman and Marvin Bonar and many nephews, nieces and cousins.
Funeral services and Masonic Services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Monday July 27, 2015 at the Georgetown Church of Christ, 149 Hamer Road, Georgetown, Ohio. Kevin Whitsett, Scott Hennig and Jason Galley will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. Monday at the church. Interment will be in the Confidence Cemetery with a military flag presentation ceremony. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Dale E. Bonar, Sr. memorial fund, 157 Dell Acres Drive, Georgetown, Ohio 45121. The Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio is serving the family.
