Danny Gene Yates

Danny Gene Yates, age 59, of Winchester, Ohio died Saturday, March 10, 2007 at the University Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. Mr. Yates was a farmer, a Vietnam War Air Force veteran, a member of the Courts-Fussnecker American Legion Post #367 in Ripley, Ohio and was a 4-H advisor for many years. He was born in Manchester, Ohio on August 19, 1947 the son of the late Emmett and Joan (Demint) Yates.
Mr. Yates is survived by his wife, Joan (Crawford) Yates; two children - Danny (Robin) Yates, Jr. of Cincinnati, Ohio and Robin (Scott Malott) Yates of Sardinia, Ohio; four grandchildren - Amberly, Jarrett, and Darren Yates and Allison Malott; six brothers - Jack, Charlie and Paul Yates, all of West Union, Ohio, Donnie Yates of Leesburg, Ohio, Duane Yates of Russellville, Ohio and Rick Yates of Manchester, Ohio; and one sister - Gail Wescott of West Union, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 14 2007 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Rev. Delmar Smith will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 9:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Decatur Cemetery.
