David Purdy

David Wayne Purdy, age 62 of Goshen, Ohio passed away Saturday, April 11, 2026 at his residence. He was born August 27, 1963 in Georgetown, Ohio the son of the late Robert Larry Purdy and Mary (Smith) Purdy-Walters. David was a devoted outdoorsman who found great joy in hunting, camping and target shooting. His love of nature and the outdoors was a defining part of his life, bringing him peace and fulfillment. Those who knew him will remember his passion for these activities and the quiet strength he carried through his connection with the natural world. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents – Clarence and Lou Smith and Lewis and Ruth Purdy, one nephew – Bradley Penland and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Mr. Purdy is survived by one daughter – Elizabeth Wahl and husband Jared of Fayetteville, Ohio; one granddaughter – Evee Wahl; step-father – Ron Walters of New Richmond, Ohio; five brothers and sisters – Ronnie Walters and wife Olga of Owensville, Ohio, Diane Purdy of Goshen, Ohio, Rodney Walters and wife Dawnya of Bryan, Arkansas, Debbie Purdy and Larry Wilson of Cincinnati, Ohio and Don Purdy and wife Tina of Bethel, Ohio; companion - Sherry Wisner of Felicity, Ohio and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. Ted House will officiate. Interment will be in the Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio.
