Dennis Ray Gast

Dennis Ray Gast, age 75 of Fizzleville, Ohio, died Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at his home. He was retired from Blue Flame of Macon, Ohio and also enjoyed farming. Mr. Gast was born February 16, 1939 in Brown County, Ohio the son of the late William R. and Ruby J. (Wilson) Gast. He was also preceded in death by one daughter - Connie Thornburg and two brothers - Tom and Michael Gast.
Mr. Gast is survived by his loving wife of fifty-six years - Sue Gast; one daughter - Karen Schiltz and husband Noah of Bentonville, Ohio; two sons - Joe Gast and wife Kim of Fizzleville, Ohio and Andy Gast and wife Susie of Fizzleville, Ohio; one son-in-law - Dana Thornburg of Fizzleville, Ohio; nine grandchildren - Brandy Ross and husband Travis, Daulton Gast, Justin Hilderbrand and wife Kelly, Nakoa Gast, Mariah Gast, Brianna Thornburg, Colton Thornburg, Miranda Schiltz and Jake Schiltz; one great grandchild - Klaire Hilderbrand and one brother - Bob Gast of Frankfort, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, January 9, 2015 at Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Rev. John Conley will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Friday. Interment will follow the funeral service in Hietts Chapel Cemetery near Ripley, Ohio.
