Donald Gene Meadows

Donald Gene Meadows, age 68 of Ripley, Ohio, died Sunday, June 15, 2014 at the Ohio Veterans Home in Georgetown, Ohio. He was a United States Army Vietnam War Era Veteran. Mr. Meadows was a teacher and coach for Ripley and Eastern Schools and also had worked in construction later in life. He was born October 30, 1945 in Maysville, Kentucky the son of the late Eugene and Joyce (Poe) Meadows. He was also preceded in death by his grandmother - Ruby Poe and his aunt and uncle - Patsy and Wayne Owens.

Mr. Meadows is survived by one son - Jesse Meadows of Hillsboro, Ohio; one grandson - Drake Meadows; one uncle - Gene Linville of Ripley, Ohio and one aunt - Doris Hare of Ripley, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Rev. Bill Kirby will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 18 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Ripley, Ohio with military honors provided by the Courts-Fussnecker American Legion Post #367 of Ripley.
