Donald Lee Popham, age 85 of Ripley, Ohio died Saturday, July 1, 2017 at his residence. He was employed by Pepsi for thirty-eight years and was an Army Korean War Veteran. Don was active in many civic and fraternal organizations which included the Fraternal Order of Eagles # 2293 in Georgetown, Ohio and # 1564 In Maysville, Kentucky, the Union Lodge # 71 In Ripley, Ohio, The Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Cincinnati, The Lodge Council Chapter Consistory Scottish Rite Valley of Cincinnati, the Syrian Shriners, The Carey Bavis American Legion Post #180 in Georgetown, Ohio, The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post # 9772 and the 40/8 Voiture Local #105. He was born May 28, 1932 in Cincinnati, Ohio the son of the late Lowell and Margaret (Laudeman) Popham. He was also preceded in death by one daughter – Beth Popham; three brothers – Alan, Lowell and Gene Popham and two sisters – Dorothy Popham Cooper and Nancy Popham.
Mr. Popham is survived by his wife of thirty-five years – Ruth (Spiller) Popham whom he married May 26, 1982; one sister – Margaret King of Lexington, Kentucky and nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at the Red Oak Cemetery near Ripley, Ohio with Military services by the Carey Bavis American Legion Post #180.
