Donald Stephens

Donald E. Stephens, age 79 of Fayetteville, Ohio, died Monday, March 24, 2014 in a farm accident in Fayetteville, Ohio. He was a retired school bus driver for Fayetteville-Perry Local Schools for 20 years. He was also a proud life-long farmer and a member of the St. Angela Merici Parish, St. Patrick Chapel. Donald was born March 17, 1935 in Mt. Orab, Ohio the son of the late Joseph A. Stephens and Antionette (Yeager) Stephens. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister – Marjorie (Stephens) Meyer and one nephew – Richard Snyder.

Mr. Stephens is survived by his wife of 54 years – Dorothy (Gauche) Stephens whom he married on February 27, 1960; two daughters – Sandra Wiederhold and husband Bill of Williamsburg, Ohio and Janet Luschek and husband Tom of Lynchburg, Ohio; one son – Joseph Stephens and wife Tina of Fayetteville, Ohio; seven grandchildren – Tim Luschek, Jeff Luschek and wife Theresa, Susanne Christie and husband Joe, Craig Wiederhold, Eric Wiederhold, Andrew Stephens and Jason Stephens; two great-grandchildren – McKayla Christie and Austin Christie; one sister – Jean (Stephens) Snyder of Dayton, Ohio and many nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, March 29, 2014 at the St. Angela Merici Parish - St. Patrick Chapel in Fayetteville, Ohio. Rev. Hank Albietz will be the celebrant. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. Friday at the Cahall Funeral Home in Mt. Orab, Ohio. Interment will be in the St. Patrick Cemetery, Fayetteville, Ohio. The Cahall Funeral Home in Mt. Orab, Ohio is serving the family.
