Donald W. Wilson, age 74 of Ripley, Ohio died Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at the Brown County General Hospital in Georgetown, Ohio. Mr. Wilson was a barber for twenty-six years, a Pepsi employee in the vending department, a United States Army veteran, a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, the Courts-Fussneceker American Legion Post #367and the National Rifle Association. He was born on July 13, 1933 in Higginsport, Ohio the son of the late Shelby and Elizabeth (Ralston) Wilson. Was also preceded in death by one brother, Ronald Wilson.
Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife of fifty years - Dorothy (Schumacher) Wilson; one daughter - Joanne Wagner of Russellville, Ohio; one son - Tim Wilson of Chandler, Arizona; two grandchildren; one step grandson; one sister-in-law - Judy Wilson of Georgetown, Ohio; his uncle - John Ralston and wife Freda of Georgetown, Ohio and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his horse Cochise and his dog Sheba.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, April 5, 2008 at the St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Ripley, Ohio. Rev. James Schmitmeyer will be the Celebrant. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Maplewood Cemetery with veteran services by the Courts-Fussnecker American Legion Post #367. If desired, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to the American Kidney Foundation.
