Dorothy D. Ferguson

Dorothy D. Ferguson, age 74 of Higginsport, Ohio, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2008 at her home. She served on the Brown County Board of Education for eighteen years, was a member of The Eastern Star and attended the Ripley Church of the Nazarene. Mrs. Ferguson was born on June 10, 1934 in Jackson, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Jack and Grace (Barnett) Grigsby. She was also preceded in death by one son Jimmy Lindon Ferguson, Jr., one sister and six brothers.

Mrs. Ferguson is survived by her loving husband of fifty seven years, Jimmy L. Ferguson; two daughters - Debra Duncan of Higginsport, Ohio and Shannon Ferguson of Nicholasville, Kentucky; four grandchildren - Israel Howard of Georgetown, Ohio, Zach and Shelby Ferguson of Jackson, Kentucky and Sam Ferguson of Nicholasville, Kentuckyk, two great-grandchildren - Kayla and Carly Howard of Mt. Orab, Ohio; one sister - Elsie Adkins of Norris Lake, Tennessee; a host of nieces, nephews and very dear friends.

Funeral services will be held at 5:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 4, 2008 at Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Rev. Clark Castle will officiate. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. Thursday.
