Dr. John Albert Powell

Dr. John A. Powell, age 85 of Georgetown, Ohio died Thursday, August 28, 2014 at the Hospice of Cincinnati - East in Anderson Township, Ohio. Dr. Powell was a surgeon and obstetrician with the medical practice of Pasquale, Powell and Benintendi Medical Center in Georgetown, Ohio for thirty years. He was a member of the St. Gertrude The Great Roman Catholic Church in West Chester, Ohio and was a U.S. Navy veteran. Dr. Powell was born April 3, 1929 in Cincinnati, Ohio the son of the late John P. and Marjorie (Setty) Powell. He was also preceded in death by his wife - Diane (Hayman) Powell in 2012 and one son - Perry J. Powell in 2011.

Dr. Powell is survived by two daughters - Jenny Powell of Georgetown, Ohio and Ellen Kron of Bethel, Ohio; one son - Patrick Powell of Milford, Ohio; four grandchildren - Edward S. Kron, Mary Margaret Kron, Jack A. Powell and Reza M. Powell; one brother - Robert L. Powell of Naples, Florida and nieces and nephews.

The prayers of the Rosary will be at 11:00 A.M. followed by a Requiem Mass at 11:20 A.M. Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at St. Gertrude The Great Roman Catholic Church, 4900 Rialto Road, West Chester, Ohio. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. Monday at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Interment will be in the Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio.

If desired, memorial contributions may be made to a Hospice Organization of the donor's choice.
