Dwight Ray Newberry, Sr.

Dwight Ray Newberry, Sr., age 74 of Georgetown, Ohio died Monday, September 21, 2015 at the Clermont Mercy Hospital in Batavia, Ohio. He was a retired truck driver for Redbank Transport, Inc. in Milford, Ohio. Dwight was born November 1, 1940 in Brown County, Ohio the son of the late Marvin and Martha (McKinzie) Newberry. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife – Mary Katherine (White) Newberry in 2005 and one sister – May Smith.

Mr. Newberry is survived by three children – Dwight R. Newberry, Jr. and wife Kathy of Hamilton, Ohio, S. Joy Schmidt and husband Frederick of Goshen, Ohio and Kathy Tumbleson of Hamilton, Ohio; six grandchildren – Amber Day and husband Luke of Germantown, Ohio, Matthew Newberry of Hamilton, Ohio, Alexis, Derick and Skyler Schmidt all of Goshen, Ohio and Bradley Harbottle, United States Navy; one great grandchild – Payton Day; two brothers – George Newberry of Goshen, Ohio and JR Newberry of Hamersville, Ohio; his companion – Janet Slater of Bethel, Ohio and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, September 26, 2015 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until  1:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio.
