Edith Frances Edmisten

Edith Frances Edmisten, age 86 of Georgetown, Ohio died Thursday, August 29, 2013 at the Villa Georgetown in Georgetown, Ohio. Mrs. Edmisten was a homemaker, a member of the Georgetown Church of Christ, the Carey Bavis American Legion Post #180 Auxiliary, the Brown County General Hospital Auxiliary and the Brown County Senior Citizens. She was born November 3, 1926 in Maysville, Kentucky the daughter of the late Robert and Cora (Collins) Vaughn. She was also preceded in death by her husband - Carl W. Edmisten, Sr. in 1988, one daughter - Carol Ann Edmisten, four brothers and two sisters.

Mrs. Edmisten is survived by two sons - Richard Allen Edmisten and wife Glenda of Melbourne, Florida and Carl W. "Buck" Edmisten, Jr. and wife Ruth of Georgetown, Ohio; six grandchildren - Christy Winter and husband Eric, Kelly Edmisten and husband Aaron Hutchens, Jeff Edmisten and wife Carla, Mike Edmisten and wife Nicki, Lori Case and husband Jason and Curt Edmisten and wife Chrissy; one step granddaughter - Heather Rogers; nine great grandchildren - Reid and Ansley Winter, Edith Hutchens, Ryan, Brock, Shelby and Logan Edmisten and Mara and Levi Case and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, September 1, 2013 at the Georgetown Church of Christ, 149 Hamer Road, Georgetown, Ohio. Mike Edmisten and Kevin Whitsett will officiate. Visitation will be from 1:30 P.M. - 3:00 P.M. Sunday at the church. Interment will be in the Pisgah Ridge Cemetery near Ripley, Ohio. The Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio is serving the family.
