Edith May Neu

Edith May Henize Neu, age 100, of Hamersville, Ohio, died Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at Brown County General Hospital in Georgetown, Ohio. Mrs. Neu was a teacher at Delhi, Georgetown, Mt. Orab and retired in 1974, after twenty-three years at Hamersville school . She was a graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, a member of the Brown County Historical Society and the Helping Hands. She was born on January 5, 1909, in Georgetown, Ohio, the daughter of the late Frank and Clara (Euverard) Henize. Mrs. Neu was united in marriage on June 1, 1932 to Harold W. Neu, who preceded her in death in 1984. She was also preceded in death by one daughter-in-law, Margaret Neu, in 2001 and one brother - Stanley Henize in 1989.

Mrs. Neu is survived by two sons -Donald Neu of Flemingsburg, Kentucky and Duane Neu of Hamersville, Ohio; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one sister - Mabel Storer of Williamsburg, Ohio and one sister-in-law Helen Henize of Amelia, Ohio.
