Elizabeth (Betty) Gardner

Elizabeth Ann (Betty) Gardner, age 91 of Georgetown, Ohio died Saturday, January 17, 2015 at her residence. Mrs. Gardner was a homemaker, a member of the St. George Catholic Church and was a waitress at the Georgetown Pizza Hut from 1978 until her retirement in 2001. She was born March 1, 1923 in Cincinnati, Ohio the daughter of the late Russell E. and Nellie (Sullivan) Hall. Mrs. Gardner was also preceded in death by her husband - Herbert E. Gardner 2010; four brothers - Russell, Jack, Robert and Jim Hall and two sisters - Margaret Theis and Janet Creager.

Betty is survived by two sons - Lynn H. Gardner and Larry E. Gardner and wife Liz all of Georgetown, Ohio; one step son - Herbert R. Gardner and wife Lou of Lebanon, Ohio; two grandchildren - Mindy Hastings and husband Mitch and Amanda Johnson and husband Ryan; five great grandchildren - Nancy, Anna and William Hastings and Lauren and Lydia Johnson; two sisters - Mary Rering and Patricia Taylor both of Mt. Carmel, Ohio; one brother - Jerry Hall of Maineville, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 24, 2015 at the St. George Catholic Church in Georgetown, Ohio. Rev. Dohrman Byers will be the Celebrant. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. Friday at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Interment will be in the Confidence Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Herbert E. and Betty Gardner Ag Scholarship, c/o Georgetown High School, 987 Old US 68, Georgetown, Ohio 45121.
