Eugene Shearer

Eugene Shearer, age 90 of Georgetown, Ohio passed away Thursday, June 4, 2026 at the Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was born November 1, 1935 in Russell County, Kentucky the son of the late Gordon and Pearl (Pierce) Shearer. Eugene was a dedicated retired machinist from Zumbiel Packaging and a valued member of the Assembly of God Church. He found joy in building things, tending to his garden and caring for his yard. Eugene was also a passionate fan of the Cincinnati Reds. His life was marked by his hardworking spirit and love for his community and interests. He will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his sons – Shirley Rose (George) Shearer-Holland and one son – David Shearer.

Mr. Shearer is survived by his wife – Imogene (Taylor) Shearer; one son – Tim Shearer and Susu of Lawrenceville, Georgia; three step-daughters – Kathy Davidson and Jim of Shelbyville, Tennessee, Lisa Ashmore and Charles of Georgetown, Ohio and Rhonda Piquard and Jerri of Georgetown, Ohio and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

The family wishes to announce that following cremation, no funeral services will be held. The Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio is honored to be serving the family during this time.
