Evelyn Frances Pollitt

Evelyn Frances Pollitt, age 80 of Georgetown, Ohio died Monday, April 4, 2005 at the Villa Georgetown in Georgetown, Ohio. Mrs. Pollitt was a homemaker, a member of the Georgetown Church of Christ and the Carey Bavis American Legion Post 180 Auxiliary. She was born on May 11, 1924 in Georgetown, Ohio the daughter of the late Christopher and Edith (Galliher) Van Harlingen. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy O'Bannon Pollitt in 2000, one son, Earl Wayne Pollitt, one grandson, James Graham Mason and one son-in-law, George Annis.
Mrs. Pollitt is survived by four daughters - Hazel Annis of Georgetown, Ohio, Janet Luegering of Cincinnati, Ohio, Carol Castle and husband Jim of Aberdeen, Ohio and Shirley Greene and husband Paul of Georgetown, Ohio; One brother - Ralph Van Harlingen and wife Vivienne of Georgetown, Ohio; seven grandchildren - James (Claudia) Castle, Timothy (Mindy) Luegering, Julie Castle, Janet (Ed) Gaffin, Janelle (Terry) Arnold, Teresa (Charles) New and Catherine (Alan) Frank; three step grandchildren - Bethany (Tim) Naylor, Chris (Cher) Greene and Chad Greene; thirteen great grandchildren - Ryan and Jarrod Mason, Tyler and Ashton Arnold, Jessica, Katie and Alec Gaffin, Taylor Hollin, Molly and August Luegering, Jacob and Joseph Castle and Charles New; five step grandchildren - Drew, Ellysa and Erin Naylor and Kyle and Ashley Greene; one nephew - John Van Harlingen and two nieces - Christy (Michael) McEvilley and Vicky (Forest) Coburn.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at the Georgetown Church of Christ, 149 Hamer Road, Georgetown, Ohio. Kevin Whitsett will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Interment will be in the Confidence Cemetery. If desired, memorials may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Fourth and Race Towers, 105 West Fourth Street, Suite 400, Cincinnati, Ohio 45202.
