Evelyn Paeltz Seesholtz

Evelyn Rose Paeltz Seesholtz, age 83 of Georgetown, Ohio died Thursday, May 7, 2009 at the Ohio Valley Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Ripley, Ohio. She was the bookkeeper of Steeles Pharmacy in Georgetown, Ohio for thirty-five years, member and current president of the Board of Directors of the Ohio Valley Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for thirty-five years, a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eastern Star and the Georgetown Historical Preservation Committee, a member and past president of the Brown County General Hospital Auxiliary, the Georgetown Women's Club and the Brown County Chamber of Commerce - 1977, and a former member of the Georgetown Village Council, where she played a large role in the planning of the Mac Tool Company coming to Georgetown. Evelyn was born on January 28, 1926 in Russellville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Forrest J. and Ruby Gertrude (Howland) Paeltz. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-two years - David Lloyd Seesholtz in 1999 and two brothers - John and Bob Paeltz.

Mrs. Seesholtz is survived by one daughter - Debbie Lathrop of Cincinnati, Ohio; one son - Gary David Seesholtz and wife Patti of Georgetown, Ohio; five grandchildren - Jennifer Lathrop and husband Eric McNevin of Los Angeles, California; Peter Lathrop of Cincinnati, Ohio; Heather Bertram and husband Alex of Georgetown, Ohio; Holli Seesholtz of Milford, Ohio and Ryan Seesholtz and wife Cassandra of Columbus, Ohio; three great-grandchildren - Emily, Riley, and Collin Bertram; one brother - Charles Paeltz and wife Joan of Georgetown, Ohio and two sisters - Jeanette Yockey and husband Carroll "Bud" of Georgetown, Ohio and Virginia Muhlhofer and husband Lou of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held at 10.00 A.M. on Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at the Georgetown Church of Christ in Georgetown, Ohio. Scott Hennig will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 P.M. on Monday, May 11, 2009 at the church. Interment will be in Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Evelyn Seesholtz Memorial Fund c/o the Ohio Valley Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 5280 State Routes 62 & 68, Ripley, Ohio 45167. The Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio is serving the family.
